Education is the backbone of our community. It shapes the future of our kids, it strengthens families, and it builds the kind of city we want to live in. That’s why I’m running for Rocky View School Trustee here in Airdrie — because I believe every child deserves a safe, supportive, and high-quality education.
But this campaign isn’t just about me. It’s about us — parents, students, teachers, education assistants, Elders, and neighbours — all working together to make sure Airdrie schools keep pace with our community’s rapid growth.
My Vision for Education
Every student deserves to feel safe, supported and valued. That means:
Classrooms where diversity is celebrated
Schools where bullying is addressed, mental health is supported, and kids can thrive socially as well as academically.
Communities where families are partners in education, not bystanders.
My Key Priorities
These are the pillars of my campaign:
Infrastructure & Growth Airdrie is growing fast - but new schools aren't keeping up. Multiple K-9 schools are on the way, yet we still don't have a new high school on the horizon. Where will our students go once they succeed from middle school? We need to fight for both infrastructure funding and operational funding to properly continue to educate our youth.
Mental Health & Student Supports: Education isn't just acedemics. Students need access to counsellors, mental health resources, and caring adults in the classroom. I will push for more EAs, specialists (SLPs, R. Psych's) and frontline supports so kids aren't left behind.
Supporting Teachers & Staff: Our teachers and education assistants are doing incredible work under enormous pressure. They need manageable class sizes, relevant professional development, and higher funding to stay in the system. Supporting them directly supports our kids.
Transparency & Trust: Families shouldn't have to hunt for answers. I will advocate for clear, plain-language budget updates, regular community conversations (Tea with the Trustee!), and real opportunities for feedback and engagement before any big decisions are made.
Well-Rounded Education: Strong schools aren't just about grades - they are about opportunities. I'll support growth in sports, arts, cultural programming and clubs, because everyone deserves a chance to shine in their own way.
How we Build This Together
This isn't a one-way street. I need to hear from you - your stories, your frustrations, your hopes for our schools. Here are some ways you can be a part of this campaign:
Volunteer: help knock on doors, share posts, or join me at events.
Attend Conversations: I'll be at Inspire - Airdrie Public Library on October 6th. Stay tuned for more dates and events as they come up.
Spread the Word: Share with friends, neighbors, and family why you believe Airdrie needs strong representation on the school board. Show your support with a lawn sign!
Why Your Voice Matters
Local elections are often decided by just a handful of votes. That means every conversation matters, and every voice makes a difference. By standing together, Airdrie can send a strong message: our kids deserve better, and we won't settle for less.

Final Thoughts
I'm running for school trustee because I believe in the power of community. I believe in the strength of Airdrie families, and I believe in the potential of every child who walks into our schools.
Together, we can make sure our schools aren't just keeping up with growth, but leading the way in creating safe, inclusive, and thriving spaces for our kids.
This isn't just my campaign. It's our campaign. Let's build stronger schools and a stronger Airdrie, together.
